Radio
in Ireland was completely changed by events from the early 70's, which
led to the beginning of pirate radio. It's thought that "Captain"
Eamon Cooke was the first to set up an illegal station in Ireland.
This site is about keeping the rich Irish pirate history alive. After
all, it is as important to our culture as any other historical events.
New generations of Irish people should know how our broadcast culture
evolved.
If you have any information, pictures or sounds you'd like to contribute
